Our Story
Renergia is the result of an effort to empower investors in the Renewable business. Our founder Ricardo Jimenez forged himself in the oil and gas energy business as many others in the renewables industry. He coupled that experience with his previous background in investment banking to craft innovative business models and financial solutions around the reuse of energy sources, the reduction of carbon emissions, and the recycling of waste.
In 2020 he founded Renergia Holdings Ltd. following this vision. Throughout this time he has worked alongside a group of industry-savvy advisors to bring highly successful solutions to developers across the solar, waste-to-energy, storage, and EV infrastructure sectors. As of today, we have completed and secured in excess of 2 GW of new renewable sources both in the UK and abroad (mainly Latam and the US).
We continue to search for new opportunities everywhere. Our goal is to power the development of behind-the-grid private wire and distributed generation projects as well as large commercial and industrial rooftop solutions in the UK and Western Europe. We see the supply of the solar business as the driver for all the other technologies we are capable of advising on.

Our Founder
Ricardo Jimenez, CEO
Mr. Jimenez has been a leader in the Energy industry for more than 20 years heading iconic transactions which have helped reshape the industry. In more recent times, his contribution to the Renewables sector has been paramount, promoting and facilitating multiple transactions and securing funding for some of the largest Solar Park developments in the Americas. Among these projects, Mr. Jimenez is the main sponsor of PANASOL, a 500 MW Solar Panels factory in Texas due to begin production in 2024.
He was Petrona’s Managing Director for LATAM’s operations. Before Joining Petronas he spent 5 years with industry leader ExxonMobil moving up through the ranks within the Shared Service Division. He has also led a highly successful Private Equity Fund investing in brownfield energy assets worldwide. Mr. Jimenez has also a long trajectory in Investment Banking and multiple other entrepreneurship initiatives. Mr. Jimenez is a CFA with a BS in Engineering from Marquette University and has an MBA and an MSIT degree from the University of Denver in addition to a Diplomat in Hydrocarbons and Energy Management from IESA.
